Swim Knights Prepare for 2019 Season

The DeSales Knights swimmers return for the 2019 Neumann Catholic Swim League season, which begins Sunday, September 22, 2019. The swim Knights boys and girls team will start the season at 12:30 p.m. with a meet against St. Peter and Paul at Buffalo State College.

DeSales team captain is Jack Strong. Jack is the son of Michael and April Strong. Jack will be swimming his last season for the Neuman Catholic League as he prepares to graduate from DeSales. He plans on continuing his swim career with the Lockport High School Lions next year.

The DeSales swim team has seen many new changes and faces this year with the exit of last year’s eighth grade class. The team is thankful and proud to retain Coach Mark Fragale. Coach Fragale has been a long time coach for the DeSales Knight swimmers. Although his daughter has since graduated from DeSales his love for the sport and the children has kept him at DeSales as head coach.

The team would like to welcome the following new Knights to the team: Chloe Collins, Rylan Collins, Mia Collins, Grace Keppler, Margaret Manning, Angelo Morello, Leo Pynn, Charlotte Sidote and Nathan Tomaino.

The team is also pleased to welcome back the following Knights swimmers for another great season: Ava Achtyl, Bethany Case, Morgan Case, Jonathan Cordle, Roger Cordle, Evelyn Couturier, Nathan Couturier, Samantha Fox, Maggie Galley, Jude Genewick, Karoline Griffin, Jillian Johnson, Jordan Kirchberger, Jillian Knuutila, Dylan Lamont, Lydia Lamont, Gabe McQueen, Danny Rahill, Gavin Rignel, Jack Strong and Ella Wysochanski.

DeSales is eastern Niagara County’s only Catholic School, welcoming students of all faiths in preschool through eighth grade.
