The Janet Federspiel Tuition Scholarship winner was announced in December at the DeSales Swim Team Banquet. Congratulations to the 2023 recipient, Delilah Harrer! Before Christmas, the scholarship selection committee, comprised of Coach Janet’s beloved grandchildren (Emma Vought, Lydia Lamont, Elizabeth Vought and Dylan Lamont), presented Delilah with a plaque acknowledging the notable honor.
Janet Federspiel was a valued volunteer for the DeSales Swim Team. She served as a as a coach, official, assistant coordinator, and mentor. Coach Janet was well known for her passion and love for the sport of swimming. Janet was a kind and loving woman who was dedicated to giving back to her community. A scholarship honoring Coach Janet’s memory and legacy was established by her children and grandchildren at DeSales Catholic School after she passed away in 2021.
