On behalf of the Thomas C. Rotondo Scholarship Run Committee, Anna Maria Rotondo alongside her daughters, Linda Lederhaus and Annie Rotondo recognized two DeSales students. DeSales 7th grader, Ava Achtyl and 6th grader, Arden Anterline were announced last week as the 2019 Rotondo Family Scholarship winners. The committee selected Ava and Arden based on their commitment to our community and their families. Each student will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship.
The funds were raised at the Thomas C. Rotondo Scholarship Run held in Lockport. The run, organized by the Rotondo family, is a way to commemorate the life and carry on the spirit of the late five-term Lockport mayor. Through the race efforts scholarships, have been established at DeSales Catholic School and at Lockport High School.
DeSales is Eastern Niagara County’s only Catholic School, welcoming students of all faiths in preschool through eighth grade.
