DeSales Catholic School celebrated all things science with their first ever STREAM Knight Science Week. This week of science fun enriched the core subject with classroom activities, virtual and in person field trips and collaboration! STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.The Challenger Learning Center brought a stellar experience to students with their mobile planetarium. Students in preschool through grade 8 had the opportunity to stargaze around the world! Students in 5th and 6th grade had the opportunity to take a virtual field trip to Mars. Other highlights included sensory space bins in preschool, stacking robots and magna-tile rocket ships in kindergarten, astronaut themed writing assignments and so much more! The catholic elementary/middle school ended the week with a dress down day in which students dress in outfits that reflected their future plans titled Future You Day. Doctors, scientists, teachers, bakers, musicians were all among the future careers students represented.The STREAM Knight Science Week was made possible by a grant from the Upon this Rock Foundation.
