DeSales Welcomes New Teachers

The first day of classes at DeSales this year was a big day, not only for the students, but also for the two teachers beginning their tenure at the Catholic elementary school in Lockport.   DeSales Principal, Sister Carol Ann Kleindinst, is pleased to welcome two new faculty members to the DeSales family.  “Our new teachers, Ms. Maria DiStefano and Mrs. Alexis Andreszak are off and running for a great beginning to the school year.  As I visited their classrooms this morning, I saw two teachers who were very engaged with their new students.  You would never know they were new to our school.  “

Ms. Maria DiStefano is the new Kindergarten Teacher at DeSales Catholic School.  DiStefano earned her Bachelors Degree in Childhood/Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Literacy from Canisius College.  This is Miss DiStefano’s third year teaching.

Mrs. Alexis Andrzejak is the new third grade teacher at DeSales. Andrezejak earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Buffalo State College.  This will be Mrs. Andrzejak’s ninth year teaching. Originally from Tonawanda, Mrs. Andrzejak currently lives on Grand Island with her husband Mark and two sons, Gavin & Lukas.
