The DeSales Knights swim team opened its 2019 Neumann Swim League season this week with a 112-80 victory over St. Peter at Sweet Home High School
The success was a combined effort of all age groups, who each had a strong appearance in the meet. In the 8-Under Division, the Knights had a triple win from Johnathan Cordle in the 50 free style, 25 backstroke and 25 breaststroke events. Grace Keppler and Evelyn Couturier nearly tied for first place in the 25 freestyle event, with the timers naming Keppler for the win.
The Knights' 9-10 Division also had winners with Dylan Lamont touching first in the 100 IM, 50 freestyle and 50 breaststroke. Bethany Case made significant improvements this year coming in first in the 50 butterfly and 100 freestyle. The pair also teamed up with Jordan Kirchberger and Samantha Fox to win the 200 Medley relay.
