DeSales Names New Principal

DeSales Catholic School recently announced that Karen Judge Rahill has been named Principal. Prior to this formal appointment by the Board of Trustees, Rahill served at DeSales as the Library Media Specialist and STREAM Coordinator.

Mrs. Rahill graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and received her Master of Library Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Mrs. Rahill has been an active member of the DeSales Education & Quality Assurance committee and a volunteer Swim Coach.  She spearheaded the introduction of the STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts & Math) enhancement at DeSales successfully creating new learning opportunities for all students.  Mrs. Rahill is also an alumna of DeSales Catholic High School, Class of 1987.

  “Karen was hired because she truly is the face of DeSales; past, present and future. She loves the school and she embodies everything a DeSales graduate should be both academically and spiritually.” Teresa Sipowicz, DeSales Board Member said of Rahill’s appointment. “DeSales is lucky to bring an alumni in to lead the school.  Karen brings over 20 years experience in education to the job, as well as a dedication to the community she calls home.”
