Meet our Teachers! This week, we are so happy to introduce you to 4th Grade Teacher, Mr. Joe Granchelli.
Mr. Granchelli enjoys working in his gardens, painting and fixing up old houses. He is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and likes to read educational research. When he is not teaching, you will likely find him spending time with his wife Kathy, his grandchildren and Bodie, a French Bull dog. Mr. Granchelli is also a very talented artist and always impresses his students and co-workers with his creativity.
Choosing education as a profession: “It chose me. I didn’t know what I wanted to be but after an internship I thought, why not try it!’“
Favorite Classroom Lesson: “I do not necessarily have a favorite lesson but my favorite subjects to teach are science and math because the focus in these subjects is how kids learn and use higher level thinking skills.”
What do you like about teaching at DeSales: “What I like most about teaching at DeSales is the parental involvement. They are active participants in their child’s educational process.“
