We are a school of approximately 500 children PreK3-8. Our teachers are committed to providing every child with the best Christian Catholic education we can give him or her. Our class sizes are small, and we know all of our children. As a faculty, we expect the best from our students, and we are proud of their efforts and accomplishments. DeSales Catholic School students perform very well academically, excelling on New York State Assessments. We offer a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our students can accelerate and earn high school credits while in middle school. They can earn membership in the National Junior Honor Society. In a typical year, 100% of our eighth grade students graduate. Many continue their education at competitive area Catholic high schools.
Our sports teams are always competitive in their respective leagues. Our swim team boasts a team membership of over 90 swimmers and has been the pride of the DeSales community. In addition, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities for all students. Students are involved in the Saint Francis Society, community service, chorus, music and theater, Odyssey of the Mind and other clubs and activities. Our student theater group produces a musical each year that has nearly 80 cast and crew members. The production is held at the Historic Palace Theater, and has been acknowledged as an event for the entire Lockport community to enjoy.
