At the end of the school year, DeSales was selected and named a STREAM school by the Diocese of Buffalo. Lessons based on STREAM principals (Science. Technology. Religion. Engineering. Arts. Math) promote a higher level of critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of content materials. Its implementation will benefit all the students of DeSales. Please note that STREAM Education
is not a new curriculum, but a philosophical framework for delivering impactful instruction and meaningful learning. STREAM Education promotes interdisciplinary connections, encouraging the exploration of concepts in relation to one another. This allows students to obtain a deeper understanding of how certain subjects intertwine. STREAM Education also aims to apply knowledge to real life through problem-solving, collaboration, and interactive projects. At DeSales, you can expect to see a variety of new after school clubs, hands-on science kits in the classrooms and enriching new field trips.
