Last year, DeSales had teams in third, fourth, and eighth grade.  Two of our three teams made it to the Global Finals at the University of Tennessee.  We would love to expand our program this year.

If your child is interested in participating, please plan on attending an informational meeting on:

 Wednesday, October 12th

at 6:30pm in the DeSales Cafeteria

Students in pre school through grade 8 are eligible to participate. Molly Gawura from the New York Destination Imagination group will be here to explain details about the program.  Students do not need to be present, but are more than welcome to attend.

The Destination Imagination program is a fun, hands-on system of learning that fosters students in preschool through high school’s creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic challenges in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), fine arts and service learning. Participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Teams may showcase their solutions at a tournament.

Please contact Mrs. Karen Rahill with any questions about the Destination Imagination program at DeSales.
