For the 8th grade class of the DeSales Knights Swim Team, they have caused many sleepless nights for the competition over the years. These 8th graders have dominated as they have moved through the ranks of the 8 and under division, 9-10 year olds and finally the 11 and older division in the Neumann Catholic Swim League. Spectators over the years have witnessed amazing races, jaw dropping relays, records broken, and a high level sportsmanship displayed by this group over the years. This is the last season that Gracie Cordle, Madison Fragale, Luke Genewick, Natalie Killion, Aidan Morgan, Griffin Rignel, and Elizabeth Swartz will walk the pool deck as Knights. Captains for this year are Elizabeth Swartz and Luke Genewick.
As this group prepares to unleash a tsunami on the league leading up to the Neumann League Championship in November, they will pass their knowledge, technical skills, and leadership onto the next generation of Knights.
The 8th grade class would like to welcome the following new Knights to the family; Olivia Baker, Morgan Case, Jonathan Cordle, RJ Cordle, Evelyn Couturier, Nathan Couturier, Tegan Page-DeBoe, Jude Genewick, Kaydence Leone, and Ella Wysochanski.
We are pleased to welcome back the following Knights for another great season; Ava Achtyl, Bethany Case, Samantha Fox, Maggie Galley, Henry Genewick, Karoline Griffin, Jillian Johnson, Cate Kearney, Jordan Kirchberger, Jillian Knuutila, Dylan Lamont, Lydia Lamont, Gabe McQueen, Danny Rahill, Gavin Rignel, Jack Strong and William Swartz.
The Knights start the season on September 23rd against St Andrews at Tonawanda High School at 830am.
