Start something great for your student at DeSales!

The Home School Association of DeSales Catholic School is sponsoring the 17th Annual Auction on March 24, 2012. This year’s theme of "Arabian Knights" promises to be a true adventure! This popular event grows more successful each year, and continues to provide essential funds for the educational needs of Eastern Niagara County’s only Catholic School.
We hope that you will consider attending or making a donation to the auction this year. We are happy to accept merchandise, gift certificates redeemable for goods and services, and sponsorships. Gift items and sponsorship donations may be sent directly to DeSales Catholic School. If you have any questions, or need someone to pick up your Auction items, please contact Lynette Kroening in the DeSales Development office 433-6422 ext 406.
Please click here for a Donation Record Form. Thank you very much for your support!
Protecting God's Children Workshop
The Diocese of Buffalo requires that all parents and adults who work or volunteer at DeSales must attend educational workshops to learn the methods of recognizing, reporting, and preventing sexual misconduct involving children and others. If you were unable to attend the Virtus workshop at Desales, please visit virtusonline.org to view a list of additional workshops being held in the area. Visit VirtusOnline to register today!
DeSales Library Catalog Available Online
Families now have access to the DeSales school library online, through iPAC - internet Public Access Catalog. Thanks to a grant from a generous supporter, our library's card catalog was computerized in 2008, and all lending materials are now checked in and out using a bar code scanner.

This online catalog allows users to search our library’s holdings in a variety of ways:
Quick Search allows you to search using keyword, subject, title, author and several additional options including “sounds like.”This is a phonetic search tool which is helpful with hard to spell search terms and for children that are learning to spell.
Easy Search allows you to explore the library using the methods similar to popular search engines.
Advanced Search options are also available.
Once a desired item is located, details regarding the book, including its availability in the library, can be displayed.
Students can use the web-based catalog to conduct research at home and create a “bookbag”of desired items. The bookbag’s contents can be printed and brought to the library to help locate items much more quickly. Parents can also search the catalog with their children at home, to help select materials to borrow on Library Day.The catalog is off-line during the summer months, but is reactivated when school resumes in the fall.

Growing In
Faith
The
strong enrollment at DeSales prompted a major renovation
and expansion effort at our school beginning in 2005. Click
here for more detailed information about our Classroom
and Chapel Expansion project. DeSales is grateful
to Bob Burke and Kevin McKenna
at RB Mac Construction, and Matt McIntyre of
Oakhurst Development for their skill and hard work. The
project wrapped up in the summer of 2007 with the completion
of the Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel and the three bonus
classrooms on the ground floor. Bishop Kmiec joined our
students for a mass of dedication on October 3, 2007.
You can click
here to see photos from this celebration. Thank
you to all those who generously supported our capital
campaign.
