The 2nd Annual Summer Classic Baseball Tournament is scheduled for August 21-22, 2010. The rain dates will be August 28 and/or 29, 2010. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the efforts of the DeSales Catholic School Booster Club. There will be a maximum of 16 teams from Catholic schools through out Western York. Participants will be boys from grades 4-6. The teams will be scheduled to play double elimination in the two day event. There will be raffles and a 50/50 split. The DeSales Booster Club was formed in 2004 for our student athletes and their families. Our mission is to enhance the school experience of DeSales' students through the promotion of athletics, the development of community awareness of what DeSales has to offer, and to provide financial assistance for athletic programs at our school.

Approximately 300 students participate in one or more of the following interscholastic sports – Swimming, Soccer, Basketball,Baseball Track & Field and, just added in 2010, Softball. Interscholastic sports are available for both boys and girls. We extend a special thanks to our coaches and parent volunteers who provide wonderful leadership skills and give countless hours of instruction and support. We would never be able to maintain these high quality athletic programs without the continued service of our volunteers.
This is your invitation to join us in support of DeSales and our sports and athletic programs. The legendary football coach Vince Lombardi once said, “Individual commitment to a group effort is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” This is the philosophy of our Booster Club. We look forward to working with you, your children, and our coaches.
